Although not marked, this art glass piece bears the styling and quality of Victorian pieces made by the Stevens and Williams Ltd of England and in the 1870s under the direction of John Northwood (son Harry Northwood was a glass maker in America). The body is an oval pill-shaped translucent light turquoise glass with an open oval top that is bordered with a scalloped ribbon crest. At each narrow end is a small applique of amber glass. The piece is also supported with four pinched amber glass feet...

Offering this small unusual 18th century English wine glass with a trumpet bowl on opaque color twist stem with two spiral threads, red and white, over a vertical gauze. Fine cobalt blue ground Spode porcelain bottle with gilded vermicelli “seaweed” decoration. The stopper is slightly domed. The base of the slender neck features an applied small white enamel bird. Marked in orange on bottom with the pattern number “2123”. In excellent condition, No chips, no cracks, no hairlines, it measures 4” high x 3” diameter. Dates circa 1815 England.
