A small, footed, unsigned, Steuben bowl in Carder's "Florentia" pattern, no. 6785, with random bubbles, and five applied leaves encircling the base of the bowl, designed in the style of Venetian glass, "facon de Venise." Carder's design notes indicate this bowl was made in green and "cinnamon." Early individual, stemmed, Open Salts (three) by the American glassmakers, T. G. Hawkes and Company of Corning, New York, begun about 1880. These precious little crystal and gilt salts are from the earliest years, with the simple signature, "Hawkes," acid-etched into the base. The signatures are very faint, but present on all three salts. 1.875" tall by 2.50" diameter (4.76 x 6.35 cm).
