Ultra stylish Art Deco vase from French designer and glass maker Pierre d'Avesn, dating to about 1930 (+/-). This piece speaks to its era with a graceful elongated, flattened form, scroll handles and fabulous ice or glue chip texture on each side. Catches light beautifully. Outstanding, large Cologne Bottle with Stopper, in bluish-white opaline. Extensive, thick gilding, with touches of puce hand-enameled decoration. Visible pontil; six-sided; 7" x 3" (17.78 x 7.62 cm). Beautiful yellow-blue translucent glow in light. The entire rim is pitted, although smooth, and we find that it is original to manufacture.
