This is a really great pair of pink depression era electric Lamps, listed as Tara in the Bed and Bath Book, with unusual accordion style, plastic type shades. The glass part of the Lamps measures 6 1/4 Inches high. The plastic type Shade measures 8 1/2 Inches high. The Shade is 2 1/8 Inches in diameter at the top X 5 Inches in diameter at the bottom. Striking solid silver overlay blown glass bottle with matching overlay stopper, in trailing vine styling. We do not find the maker's name, but suggest it is American. Monogrammed cartouche, center front; and Sterling mark on lower center verso, "Solid Silver, 2535, Patented." Mouthblown bottle has a large polished pontil, and the number "18" hand-engraved in the center. Late 19th Century to early 20th Century, fine quality amber glass vanity jar with guilloche lid, marked on side "Made In Germany." Faberge introduced enamel to guilloche engraving in 1886, and it followed that, very intricate patterns were developed by most of the great jewelry houses of the time; this is one such intricate pattern. Hand Enameled and intricately gilded Amber Art Glass Box, Casket, in the style of Moser, although we believe this to be a different fine Bohemian maker, possibly Lobmeyr. Gold mounts (likely gold-plated), three-footed with paw feet; the glass is shadow-ribbed and can be felt on the inside.
