Measuring an overall 4' 8" (56 inches--1.42 meters) in length, and about 14" diameter (.36 meters), this rare, impressive, and spectacular art glass chandelier was made between 1946 and 1965, in Murano, Italy, by the Venini glasshouse; the three-line signature is impressed into the ceiling piece and reads, "Venini, Murano, Made in Italy" or "...Italia." Mid-20th Century Dino Martens Art Glass Lamp, for Areliano Toso glassworks. Unmarked, but unmistakable, documented designer and maker. Wavy lattimo (white) cane alternates 3-to-1 with brilliant, pure copper aventurine cane, in a typical Martens style and the pattern, "chevron reticello." 1940-60s Italian, very likely Barovier, Florentine 4-arm Candelabrum with tool-worked, art glass Flowers--crystal with included gold, metal arms, roping and leaf-work, wooden torso and base. 27.5" (69.85 cm) tall without bulbs, 11" (27.94 cm) diameter, base 7" (17.78 cm) diameter. "Made In Italy" impressed into wood base, and camouflaged metal tag around center arm which also says "Made In Italy." Wooden Florentine base appears to have had a touch-up here and there; otherwise in great condition.... Click for details

Mid-20th Century Murano Art Glass Lamp in a luscious, rich, deep pink elliptical, or egg-shape solid glass (Venini?), densely included with gold flecks. It was difficult to capture the gold; however, the small flecks are included overall. Lamp includes a harp and attractive carved, faux-marble finial. Measures 20.5" (52.07 cm) from the white marble base to the top of the light socket; the glass is about 6.25" (15.87 cm) tall, and 12.5" (31.75 cm) circumference; base is 4.75" (12.06 cm) square. This offering is for a ceiling shade circa 1920-1940 that is mounted on a center post fixture. This shade is 11” in diameter and 4” deep. It has a flowing drapery type pink pattern that has small beaded areas where the drapes do not cover the shade. I do have an original three lamp fixture that can be used with this shade.
