A striking Byzantine bronze ring with a red glass stone that was discovered on the site of an ancient Roman settlement in eastern Europe, probably the Balkans. The ring is a size 8 1/4 and there is a dirt encrustation and a dark green patina. The hoop is broken at the crown and the hoop is slightly bent. Shipping is free and there are no decorations on the ring. The article is in very good condition. Byzantine bronze articles such as rings, fibulae, buckles, etc are frequently found at old forts or settlements.
