ROMAN GLASS BOTTLE FROM SYRIA - 1ST - 3RD CENTURY AD
A Roman glass bottle measuring 6.65 cm in height with a circumference of 11.2 cm and dated 1st - 3rd century AD, the Roman Period. The vessel is a pale green color with a light dirt encrustation on the interior and exterior. The bottom is rounded and the neck is slightly restricted and short and grows to a flat, rolled rim. A stabilized crack runs from the neck to the bottom of the body and shipping is free. The bottle is in very fine condition.

The people of the Roman Empire used more glass articles than any other ancient civilization. By the first century AD, glass items were common and were also frequently utilized as funerary objects.
