Circa 1960s "op-art" sterling silver ring with a playful cubist shape. The flattened band holds a cube, the sides of which have cutout circles, the top being a square. The interior of the cube reveals a red/white/blue sphere. Unusual and impossible to ignore. Unmarked. Size 8.5. The cube on top measures 3/8" in diameter from all sides. Excellent vintage condition. Weighs 8.5 grams.

Incredible and monumentally scaled ring by important Modernist silversmith James Parker, from La Mesa, California. Circa 1950s. The audacious sterling silver setting holds an interesting fossilized coral stone. The ring bears the early Parker conjoined "JP" mark, and is also marked "925" for sterling silver.
