Excellent large glass sculpture of a hippo by Italian glass artisan Pino Signoretto...probably 1980s or 90s vintage. This is a very attractive piece...a stylized, near cubist quality to the accurate rendering of the animal with lots of polished facet cuts that add a cool optical quality. Excellent set of eight (8) wine stems from Italy, exact age and maker not known...possibly 1960s or 70s vintage. Amazingly well crafted and genuinely beautiful pieces, each handmade using a delicate steely blue glass that has an icy edge, accented by the metallic gold flecked clear knop in the center. Great lines, elegant shape, gorgeous glass! Size/Condition: Measure about 6.75"x 2.75". In great condition, no chips or cracks, some light wear. Unmarked undated.

Excellent studio pottery vase attributed as British in origin and dating to the 1950s or 60s. Finely thrown of a stoneware body, this piece is very much in the school of Hamada and Leach with a somewhat altered, flattened (pod-like) form having a short, relatively narrow neck/flare and set upon a proportional foot. A deep and rich brown glaze provides the ground for the bold, painterly brush stroke decor on either side...an earthy ochre and an organic leaf and berries motif in black.
